Do You Remember? I sang myself to sleep inside a bunker in the basement Looking for a little peace while a piece of me was dying I could hear them celebrating upstairs, screaming from the balconies “This time we’re sending all of them to hell! Every Goddamn one!” They called out from the twisted wreck “We brought this on ourselves!” Do you remember? Do you remember? We built an altar to the saints that suffocated slow Do you remember? Do you remember? The men in masks are holding hands Inside their hands they’re holding stones Speaking in tongues, screaming my name They know my name, I don’t know why There’s a light that flickers off and on It sends the servants running to the fire Another sacrifice to keep it shining bright Another sacrifice to keep it burning They called out from the twisted wreck “We brought this on ourselves!” Do you remember? Do you remember? We built an altar to the saints that suffocated slow Do you remember? Do you remember? We brought this on ourselves They suffocated slow We’ll burn this to the ground We’ll do it all again They called out from the twisted wreck “We brought this on ourselves!” Do you remember? Do you remember? We built an alter to the saints that suffocated slow Do you remember? Do you remember?

Over Before It Begins All those people that I’ve lost are still alive But somewhere out of site, burying themselves A voice turns on inside that says, “You have to make it right There must be something you can say, if you try” Make it clever, make it count But when I say the words out loud I know it’s over It’s over before it begins “I’m here to do what I think is best” I say to myself curled up in bed I’ll find some phrases Find some melodies Find some kind of truth I’ll find a way to reach you I’ll make it clever, make it count But when I say the words out loud I know it’s over It’s over before it begins And in the end this is only for me The only way it’s ever been The only way it could be And in the end this is only for me The only way it’s ever been The only way it could be

Half A Block To Go I want apple butter, picnic and wine all the time But nothing turned out like I planned What happened, man? Man, what happened? I don’t know I want to go home Sad incessant second guesses clawing at my mind again I’m analyzing every word, questioning my every step I made it this far, now these insecurities keep creeping in They gather round and smile at me like old familiar friends Half a block to go until I get back home Half a block away but it’s miles before I’ll know if this was worth it They say if you’re alive it’s better to smile, so I’ll try Tomorrow when I’m leaving I’ll stop myself from thinking, where did I go wrong? I know I had some reason for doing what I did There’s a reason that I’m in this place I wish I could remember Remember what it is It’s only half a block to go until I get back home Half a block away but it’s miles before I’ll know if this was worth it All this time spent moving forward Going backwards in my mind Looking for a piece of something lost Terrified of what I’ll find Half a block to go until I get back home Half a block away but it’s miles before I’ll know if this was worth it

miling And Alive The full moon shines, the table is set Drinks are poured and poured again Our voices rise and fall while the soothing warmth sets in I thank God for all my friends and this strange, beautiful island Through the open window, we can hear the waves and feel the wind We’re smiling and alive in the dead of night We float on and on and on, aimless and continuous Into bars and out back doors while the ocean roars in the distance We can hear her calling, constantly, persistently We’ve got to answer, we’ve got to leave Soon we’re running down the street Smiling and alive in the dead of night Our feet hit sand, the moonlight hits the water We run as fast as we can Ready to embrace the ocean like our oldest friend We dive deep beneath the surface into the cool black beneath Rising and falling with the waves Swimming ecstatic and free Smiling and alive in the dead of night

Outside Of This Tragedy Don’t tell me what you really think I don’t think I can stand to know There’s no answer to these questions I have No name for these extinct emotions I’m happy to be outside of this tragedy So close and so far away Indignant and undone but untouched So when you leave, will you remember me? Will you please, please just remember me? Now I’m falling asleep with my eyes wide open My eyes wide open all the time I’m trying so hard I’m trying so hard I’m not trying anything at all I’m happy to be outside of this tragedy So close and so far away Indignant and undone but untouched When you leave, will you remember me? Will you please, please just remember me? This hope you have will build you up Build you up to break you down This hope you have will build you up Build you up to break you When you leave, will you remember me? Will you please, please just remember me?

How Much Difference Does It Make? The thrill is gone, you’re leaving town Wrestling fear and full of doubt But you got the bottle and you’ve got the crown There are some things you can’t live without Who can say who’s to blame? And how much difference does it make? You lost so much, now you’re losing faith I’m watching from a distance I don’t know what difference I can make I’m calling out your name but you can’t hear a thing Who can say who’s to blame? And how much difference does it make? Wide awake I’m wide awake And how much difference does it make? So when you’re lost in your mind what will you find? Are you afraid of what you love or in love with what you’re afraid of? Can you navigate this fall from grace? Do you know? How much difference does it make? Can you find your way? Can you find your way home? How much difference does it make?

Anything You Want Anything you want baby, you can have it You can cut my head off like John The Baptist We can sleep together on a burning mattress I don’t give a fuck man, whatever the plan is We can come together like a new messiah We’ll kick the heathens out, Goddamn pariahs We’re dancing in the street, setting cars on fire Because we don’t have to answer to these cowards and liars There’s a price to pay but you can’t define it So lose yourself in the mindless violence Hold your head high while you watch in silence And say it for yourself, this is what you wanted Say it for yourself, this is what you wanted It’s all over now baby, no surprises There’s nothing left in that life you haunted So say it to yourself, this is what you wanted Drinking black whiskey in the fiery furnace I’m talking about faith, not a thing can burn us Saving our souls but it’s not on purpose Because God only knows that it’s barely worth it There’s a price to pay but you can’t define it So lose yourself in the mindless violence Hold your head high while you watch in silence And say it for yourself, this is what you wanted Say it for yourself, this is what you wanted It’s all over now baby, no surprises There’s nothing left in that life you haunted Say it to yourself, this is what you wanted There’s no fantasy No new horizon We’re running circles We’re killing time here So beg forgiveness for the sins of your past And keep living life like it’s going to last Say it for yourself, this is what you wanted It’s all over now baby, no surprises There’s nothing left in that life you haunted Say it to yourself, this is what you wanted

Without You I’d be lost without you Desperate, confused Talking with nothing to say Begging for some kind of truth Without you What would I do without you? I’d be strange without you Alone in my room A cellophane insomniac Staring at the silver moon Without you What would I do without you? Nothing Is Over Nothing is over until we decide it is
